Step into the Highlands: Celtic Myths, Magic and Witch Trials Come to Life

What if stepping into a Celtic festival meant stepping into another century?

The skirl of bagpipes drifting through the air. Hints of tartan everywhere. Stories as old as the Highlands themselves whispering magic, danger, and resilience.

That’s exactly what you’ll find at the San Antonio Highland Games & Celtic Music Festival this weekend.

And this year, I’ll be there too as a presenter!

From Festival to Storyteller

If you’ve ever been drawn to Celtic folklore, you already know there’s something deeper beneath the surface.

Stories of:

  • Wise women and healers
  • Witch trials and injustice
  • Magic woven into everyday clan life

These are the stories that inspired my Tales of the Witchborn series (To Rescue a Witch and To Condemn a Witch) – set in 18th-century Scotland, where women are accused of witchcraft… and some of them fight back.

Celtic Myths, Magic & Witch Trials – Live

At this year’s festival, I’ll be performing:

“Celtic Myths, Magic & Witch Trials”

We’ll step in to the past together, exploring world of Celtic folklore and uncover the real stories of accused witches, wise women, and the trials that condemned them. This lively, interactive talk ends with a mock witch trial. If you love:

  • Ancient Celtic legends
  • Historical fiction
  • Strong female characters
  • Dark, immersive storytelling

You’ll feel right at home.

Meet the Author + Signed Books

I’ll also have signed copies of my books available, including To Rescue a Witch and To Condemn a Witch.

Whether you’re new to the series or already part of the journey, I’d love to meet you in person.

Come say hello, ask questions, and step deeper into the world of the Witchborn.
