Celtic Myths, Magic and Witch Trials

Step into the world of Celtic folklore and uncover the real stories of witches, wise women, and the trials that condemned them. On Saturday, October 25th at 2pm I’ll be performing “Celtic Myths, Magic & Witch Trials” at the Round Rock Public Library.  This FREE, lively, interactive talk blends history, myth, and magic from the Scottish Highlands to Colonial America and ends with a mock witch trial. Someone will be accused. EVERYONE will decide her fate…

Perfect for fans of spooky history, ancient legends, and strong women.

In this 60-minute session, you will discover:

  • A brief history of witches, wise women, and Celtic folklore — including myths of the Highlands and the role of women as healers and seers.
  • Witchcraft and the Law — Would you be convicted? Find out during our mock witch trial at the end of the presentation.
  • Folklore and Fear — How myths and ghost stories fueled real-life witch trials.
  • Inspiration Behind the Novels — Hear behind-the-scenes tales from Scotland’s misty glens, to the stormy seas leading to the colonies
  • The Power of Storytelling — How history, myth, and legend come together in my bestselling Tales of the Witchborn series.

Perfect for teens and adults who love a good spooky tale mixed with real history.
